Important Information

Diver Package

  • Diving Schedule & Regulations:
  • Diver packages follow the resort's diving schedules and regulations set by the Dive Center.
  • Equipment rental is NOT included and requires additional rental charges.
  • Included Activities:
  • Daily Boat Dives:
  • 3 combinations per day at Mataking, Mataking Kecil, and nearby islands.
  • Includes weights, weight belt, tanks, and dive guide. (Unused dives are non-refundable and non-transferable.)
  • Unlimited House Reef Diving at Mataking.
  • Boat Dive Schedule:
  • First Dive: 08:30 Hrs
  • Second Dive: 11:00 Hrs
  • Third Dive: 15:00 Hrs
  • Shore Dives:
  • Morning Dive: 06:00 Hrs (Exit water by 07:00 Hrs)
  • Sunset Dive: 17:00 Hrs
  • Night Dive: Conducted from 19:00 to 21:00 Hrs (from Dive Center platform).
  • Note: Night divers must provide proof of Advanced Open Water certification (certification cards and/or logbook).

Non-Diver Package

  • Non-Convertible:
  • The 'Non-Diver' package cannot be upgraded to the 'Diver' package upon arrival.

General Information

Transportation:

  • Land transfers are only available from Tawau Airport to Semporna Jetty and Mataking Island, and back.
  • Transfers from hotels/hostels in Semporna are NOT provided.

Check-In/Check-Out:

  • Check-in: 14:00 Hrs
  • Check-out: 12:00 Hrs
  • Late check-outs may incur additional fees.
  • This accommodation operates on a Run of House (ROH) basis, meaning that the specific chalet type (King Chalet, Beach Chalet, Semi-Detached Beach Chalet, Villa, Deluxe Room, or Premium Room) will be assigned based on availability during check-in. Guests cannot request or reserve a specific chalet type in advance.

Health Considerations:

  • Boat rides may not be suitable for individuals with:
  • Heart or lung conditions
  • Recent surgery
  • Back/spinal issues, arthritis, or osteoporosis
  • Pregnant women are not recommended to join due to bumpy sea conditions.
  • Please consult your physician if you have any concerns.

Tour Basis:

  • Packages are based on a join-in basis (shared guide and transportation).
  • Private guides or tours are available upon request for an additional fee.

Additional Charges

  • Tourism Tax (TTX):
  • Foreign tourists: MYR 10/room/night (paid at check-in).
  • Malaysians/permanent residents are exempt (valid ID required).
  • Semporna Jetty Fee:
  • Malaysians: MYR 2/person.
  • International guests: MYR 10/person.

Diving Restrictions

  • No Diving on Arrival or Departure Days:
  • Ensure a 24-hour interval between your last dive and your flight.
  • If diving within 24 hours of a flight, you must sign a Liability/Release Form (approval by Dive Centre management required).
  • Weather & Safety Conditions:
  • Dive activities may be canceled or adjusted due to:
  • Bad weather
  • Poor visibility
  • Physical ability of divers

  • Unused dives or portions of the package are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Currency & Rates:
  • All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and include 0% GST.
